Iċ-Ċina – Golden Dragon biex tagħlaq erba’ casinos bis-satellita
By Phil - 28 ta’ Marzu 2022Macau’s Golden Dragon Group will shut four of its satellite casinos by the summer amid claims that such operators feel ‘hopeless towards the future.’
The four casinos are part-owned by former legislator Chan Meng Kam. Casino Golden Dragon, Royal Dragon and Casino Million Dragon all operate via a gaming licence held by SJM Holdings whilst the Grand Dragon Casino in Taipa operates via Melco Resorts..
Together they house 200 gaming tables, making up just over a fifth of Macau’s 930 tables in satellite casinos.
Currently, there are 18 operational satellite casinos among a total of 40 casinos in Macau. New laws unveiled in January, will force all satellite casinos in Macau into properties owned by gaming licence holders. Despite a grace period of three years being offered, more satellite casinos are expected to close rather than relocate.
